Paintings now exhibited at Honley Station

With support from the Penistone Line Partnership the first station to hang paintings for the Great Kirklees Railway Exhbition is Honley.

30 paintings are now exhibited along the platform at Honley Station depicting Castle Hill, Honley, The Penistone Line and the Tour de France. Both colour and imagery reflect the theme of Darkness and Light with the Castle Hill dragon featuring in many of the paintings!

A big thanks to Penistone Line Partnership for their support and to last years yr 6 children from Honley Junior school.

And that’s not all- there are more lovely paintings to go up at 5 more stations over the coming weeks!
