How lovely to walk in to all this colour in the studio!I love it when our Art School children work BIG!
The large boards in this photo are work in progress by children aged between 9 and 12. Based on using the letters of HOPE BANK WORKS to create a composition and using colour theory to make them as eye catching as possible, the project has allowed the children to explore scale, colour and space and the physicality of painting.
Behind the boards you can see jungles made by Junior Art Club using paint, collage and monoprinting. Working on this scale has been perfect for engaging our young artists! A really physical activity!
